KoreaBIO and BXPLANT Successfully Complete ‘Bio Process Development CMC Workforce Training Program’

[Seoul Wire] Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization (KoreaBIO) announced on the 26th that it held the ‘Bio Process Development CMC Workforce Training Program’ at Gyeonggi Bio Center on September 24-25 to strengthen competitiveness in the bio industry, as part of the ‘Gyeonggi-do Bio Professional Workforce Development Project’ supported by Gyeonggi Province and operated by Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency.

 

This program covered the full spectrum of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control), including process development, quality control, and regulatory compliance, with the goal of strengthening the practical capabilities of current professionals. Approximately 40 participants from the pharmaceutical and bio industries, as well as academia, attended the training.

 

Comprehensive Curriculum

The education program was structured around real-world cases and received enthusiastic responses from participants. Topics included:

▸Domestic and international biopharmaceutical development trends and CDMO utilization methods

▸CMC considerations in recombinant protein therapeutics and antibody therapeutics development

▸Analytics in biopharmaceutical development

▸Importance of CMC statistics in regulatory approval and establishment of statistical ranges

 

The program was praised for providing up-to-date knowledge on global regulatory trends and quality control standards that can be immediately applied in the field, enhancing practical applicability.

 

BXPLANT’s Expert Contribution

Notably, BXPLANT directly participated in curriculum design and case study development, incorporating process development experience accumulated from actual industry settings, significantly enhancing the program’s field relevance and expertise.

 

Participating professionals expressed high satisfaction, stating, “The program addressed key cases that frequently arise in practice, which will be very helpful in solving problems we may face in actual work,” and “I was able to quickly learn the latest CMC trends, which improved work efficiency.”
